Mukteshwar

Mukteswar is a town situated in Nainital district in Uttarakhand. Situated at a little over 7500 feet, Mukteswar is a nice quaint place to enjoy nature and relax.
Mukteshwar offers distinctly visible 180 degree views of the majestic Himalayan range. Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Nandaghunti, Trishul and Panchachuli are the major peaks visible from Mukteshwar.
Jim Corbett, renowned hunter and nature lover, came to shoot a tiger here and fell in love with the place. He has mentioned about Mukteswar in his book “The Man eaters of Kumaon”.
